For over 12 years, we have had studies being developed based on the concept of Cyberformation, a concept of teacher training that includes digital technologies as players in the process of knowledge construction. In order to contribute to research in the area of teacher training with digital technologies, a bibliographical review was carried out, aiming to characterize and present the concept of Cyberformation. Through this review, it was possible to identify its theoretical foundation and realize that this conception has gone through changes over the years, having incorporated new theorists and expanded research horizons. Among the leading theorists of this conception we can highlight Martin Heidegger, Janet H. Murray, and Seymour Papert. In addition, this review leads us to argue that this conception, despite having originated in the survey region of mathematics education, can cover all specific areas of teacher training and constitutes one of the hopeful/promising paths that we can tread.
