Moodle, whose name derives from Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment, provides a flexible and adaptable structure for creation and management of online courses and subjects. It is one of the main virtual learning environments and has been adopted by numerous educational institutions around the world as it presents various tools and is available free of charge. The objective of this article is to explore the different possibilities for developing questionnaires using Calculated, Calculated Multiple Choice and Embedded Answers (Cloze) questions. Each type of question presents a specific way of elaboration and these specificities will be addressed in this article. Furthermore, there will be also a discussion about the potential benefits and limitations of each question type and how they can be applied in the most diverse areas of Exact Sciences. In this paper, examples of Chemistry questions studied with higher education students during Emergency Distance Learning in 2020 and 2021 were used.
